FAQs

How long does a portrait session last and when will I see my proofs?

A quality portrait session takes approximately an hour to two hours. About a week later MYP will then contact you to schedule a proofing/ordering session. This is always done in your home at your convenience. The proofing session also lasts about an hour and from there we work together to choose the right portraits. Your proofs will be presented in a customized slide show. Unless purchasing the slide show, it remains the property of MYP. After selecting the portraits of your choice the prints will be ready in two to four weeks.

When scheduling a portrait session for my kids what should I keep in mind?

There are a couple of successful tips for childrens/infants portrait sessions. The first one of course being location. Try to chose a place where your child feels comfortable. Somewhere familiar where your child can have fun and play. Try to schedule your session for the time of day that your child feels best. Also keep in mind the children call the shots. They are never rushed or forced. MYP uses a non-intrusive approach to capture their innocence and wonder.

My fiancee and I are considering engagement photos, is this a necessary service?

Here are a couple of reasons why couples should strongly consider including the engagement session with your wedding package first one being: it gives you a chance to meet and become comfortable with your photographer. Two, think of it as a training session for the wedding day. MYP will give you helpful tips to make your big day fun, enjoyable and relaxing. Three, a quality engagement session takes approximately two hours, not only to capture your fun-loving images but also an opportunity to become comfortable infront of your photographer making goo-goo eyes at each other. Last but not least, you are in charge. You pick the place, indoors or outdoors and MYP will travel there. Capture you and your fiancee's personality. Is it walking hand in hand down town or perhaps cuddling in McKinleys Rose Garden. Is it sharing an ice cream soda at Rick's Diner or maybe laying side by side under a tree at Land Park? Be creative, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impression of how beautiful your marriage will be.
